Baylor University is a private Christian university located in Waco, Texas. It was founded in 1845 and is the oldest continuously operating university in the state of Texas. The school has an enrollment of nearly 16,000 undergraduate and graduate students. The admission rate for fall 2020 was 47%, making it one of the most selective universities in the nation. The average SAT score for incoming freshman was 1250, with a range from 1100 to 1390. The average ACT score for incoming freshman was 28, with a range from 22 to 32. About 70% of incoming freshman receive some form of financial aid and scholarships are available to those who qualify.
