Baker College of Flint was founded in 1911 by Eldon E. Baker and his wife, Ruth, to provide training for the local automobile industry. It was the first college in Michigan to offer an associate of applied science degree in automotive technology. Over the years, Baker College has expanded its offerings to include many other technical and professional programs. In addition to automotive technology, the college now offers degrees in business administration, computer information systems, health sciences, nursing, engineering and education. It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is one of the largest independent colleges in Michigan.
In addition to its traditional programs, Baker College also offers a variety of online courses and degree programs that are designed for working adults who want to continue their education while maintaining their current commitments. The college also offers a number of certificate programs that allow students to gain specific skills without completing an entire degree program. Furthermore, Baker College has established partnerships with several organizations including General Motors and Ford Motor Company which allow students to gain real-world experience through internships or co-ops while they are still enrolled at the college. As a result of these partnerships, Baker College’s graduates have gone on to become successful leaders in their fields. Check topschoolsoflaw for a list of law schools in Montana.
