Passport information
Generally required, must be valid for at least 6 months upon departure and contain two blank pages.
Visa information
Required for all nationalities listed in the table above. With the exception of the tourist visa, all visas must be applied for in person at the responsible Angolan diplomatic mission. Tourist stays: Visa on arrival after online application: Germans, Austrians and nationals of all EU countries as well as Swiss citizens can apply for a pre-approval for a tourist visa online via the SME portal of the Angolan migration office. Applicants will need proof of accommodation, proof of sufficient funds, return/onward flight ticket, passport, which is still valid for at least 6 months when you leave the country and a valid international vaccination card with registered valid vaccinations against yellow fever, hepatitis A and hepatitis B. The processing time for the advance approval usually takes up to 72 hours. In order to obtain the visa on arrival, the tourist visa pre-authorization must be presented on entry.

Costs
Germany, Austria: Tourist visa: US$70 (normal) / plus 25% for express issuance in Berlin). Work visa: 250 US$ (in Berlin). Transit visa: 50 US$ (in Berlin). Visa fees are payable in Euros and are calculated according to current exchange rates. Switzerland: Tourist visa: 120 CHF. Work visa: 250 CHF. Visa types and costs
Single, tourist, work and transit visa, extension possible at the border authorities. Business travelers can apply for a short-term visa.
Validity
60 days from date of issue for a maximum of 30 days stay. Transit visa: Maximum 4 days. Short-term visa (business trips): You must enter the country within 72 hours of the date of issue (duration of stay: 7 days, extension by a further 7 days possible.)
Transit
Travelers who otherwise require a visa and who fly on with the next connection and do not leave the transit area do not require a transit visa. In person at least 30 days (in Berlin) or at least 3 weeks (in Bern) before departure at the responsible consular representation (see contact addresses). You can only apply in person at the Angolan consulate in Berlin. An interview appointment is mandatory. Pre-Online Visa / Visa on Arrival via www.smevisa.gov.ao/.
Application required
Entry visa: (a) 2 completed application forms (downloadable from the websites of the responsible consular representations), one application form in Switzerland. (b) 2 biometric passport photos with white background. (c) Passport, which must be valid for at least 6 months and a legible copy of the relevant pages, including previous Angola visas. (d) face-to-face interview, for which an appointment must be made in advance. (e) Confirmed Hotel Booking. (f) Copy of return flight ticket. (g) Proof of vaccination against yellow fever, hepatitis A and B (at the Angolan Embassy in Berlin); international vaccination certificate at the Angolan Consulate General in Frankfurt aM (h) fee. (i) if applicable Copy of the residence permit for Germany, Austria or Switzerland that is still valid for at least six months. (j) Proof of sufficient financial means (at least US$ 200 per day of stay). (k) Additional form “Declaração” with required documents. (l) Medical evidence that the applicant has no contagious diseases. (m) Writing to the Embassy. Work visa: (a) 1 application form (2 if applying in Frankfurt). (b) 3 passport photos. (c) Passport with at least 18 months remaining validity. (d) Invitation from the Angolan employer/business partner requesting a work visa at the Embassy. (e) Curriculum vitae, proof of school and professional qualifications (diploma certificates)*. (f) Certificate of Good Conduct*. (g) Medical certificate*. (h) Employment contract or promise of employment*. (i) Affidavit (Compliance with Angolan Laws)*. (j) Details of the reason for travel. Additional documents may also be required (current license of the company, current tax assessment, etc.) (k) Notarized declaration of the applicant to respect Angolan laws. [*] These documents must be translated into Portuguese by a sworn translator. Visa on Arrival (a) Passport valid for at least 6 months upon departure. (b) Proof of Accommodation. (c) Valid international vaccination card. (d) Proof of Sufficient Funds.
Processing time
A tourist visa must be applied for at least 30 days (in Berlin) or at least 3 weeks (in Bern) before the trip. Consular working days for a tourist visa: Approx. 8 days (normal) or 48 hours (express) in Berlin. 3 days in Bern. Note: The processing time is currently subject to strong fluctuations. Visas can take weeks, sometimes months, to be issued.
Documents required upon entry
(a) Passport valid for 6 months after departure. (b) Proof of vaccination against yellow fever.
Entry with children
German: Machine-readable children’s passport for children under the age of 12 (with photo), from the age of 12 own passport. Austrians: Own passport. Swiss: Own passport. Turks: Own passport. Note: The same visa requirements apply to children as to their parents. The travel documents must contain at least two blank pages. Note: Persons under the age of 18 traveling alone should carry an officially certified declaration of consent from their parents/guardians. If only one parent is traveling, the consent of the other parent is required. Since the 27th Since June 2012, children need their own travel document (passport / children’s passport) for trips abroad (also within the EU). Entries of children in the parental passport are no longer possible.
