Mental Conditioning

To achieve good performance in sports we invariably always focus our efforts on physical conditioning and forget about mental conditioning.

In my opinion, mental conditioning is more than 80% of the condition to get good results.

The athlete, whether professional or amateur, being very well prepared physically, if for some reason feel emotionally shaken will certainly not get the expected results.

When we feel threatened, unprepared, weak, unskilled there is no physical preparation that will make performance improve. The mind rules everything!

I often stopped climbing some steep climbs just because, when I was down there at the start of the climb, I looked up and thought “ours is very strong, it will not.” Ready! My whole body prepared to fail, for the command had already been given, too late to change. The consequence, no matter how much effort I made, in the middle of the climb I could not continue, because according to before I programmed my whole body to fail.

After starting the practice of mountain biking I learned that conditioning the brain, that is, feeding it with positive thoughts is the best way to success in any area of your life.

Mountain biking is a sport that brings us many challenges, whether for the beginner or for the professional. Mountain biking will require practicing commitment and a lot of willingness to overcome obstacles, will have to withstand dust, mud, cold, sun, rain and heat. Certainly mountain biking will cause a certain physical and mental strain. But if the practitioner is prepared psychologically to face the challenges of the sport, he will surely enjoy the wonders that he will provide: contact with nature, look at unique landscapes and stay in contact with animals.

“Keep your thoughts positive, because your thoughts become your attitudes. Keep your positive attitudes because your attitudes become your habits. Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values. Keep your positive values because your values become your destinies.” Mahatma Gandhi.

Thoughts take shape. Be absolutely sure: You are today the result of all your past thoughts. You have become, in your future, what you are thinking now.

So always nurture positive thoughts, think only about good events, imagine all the good things you want to happen to you. Cleanse negative thoughts.

The Law of Attraction is a law that exists. It does not matter whether or not you know of its existence, one way or another it will be acting in your life.

Your Mind has the power to manufacture reality. We are all vibrational beings that interact with the energies of the universe.

Just as in order to get physical we need to exercise frequently, mental conditioning is also an exercise that needs to be practiced at all times.

To get a mental conditioning you need to be constantly alert. Thinking positively all the time, in a short time you will have installed in your soul the relief and a state of happiness.

Life is a journey and for this journey to be pleasurable and joyful we need to take care of our mental conditioning. We are all sources of creation, so create the best for yourself.

Are you facing a competition? Imagine winning the competition. Are you facing a job opportunity? Imagine being hired. No one will stop you from creating all the good things you want, just your mind!

So get to work. If you’ve taken care of your physique today, how about you stop for a few minutes and do a mentalization for the morning? Be aware of how wonderful your day will be, regardless of the weather, the traffic, of someone not wishing you a good day. Regardless of anything, your tomorrow day will be wonderful simply because you have determined, you are the source of your wonderful day’s creation.

“We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make our world.”- Buddha
