It is uplifting to talk in a new report from our site, which shows that Windows Phone in the second quarter increased by 115 percent, compared with the same quarter of 2011.
However, it is still not enough to truly mingle with the big players in the market: iOS and Android.
With the new report we have also obtained new figures for total market shares, distributed among the various mobile operating systems.
Windows Phone is on one year increased from 2.3 per cent to 3.5 percent.
By comparison, Android is now up on a market share of the entire 68.1 per cent, while iOS in second place have 16.9 percent.
In the comments to the report it is clear that the rise of Windows Phone, among other things, due to increased sales of Nokia’s Lumia-models.
