Honor X 3: a 6.2-Inch Tablet Could Be The Protagonist of Huawei at CES

As some of you already know, this week kicks off the CES in Las Vegas. The first great technological fair of the year where we will see a lot of devices that reach our hands throughout the year. Android will have much prominence, tomorrow will be the presentations prior to the start of the fair. Note that it is all very close because the leaks and rumors start to multiply.

Huawei this year want to do strong branded Honor in United States and rumors suggest that will be presented this year at CES go in that direction. An invitation to the media and a filtration specifications give us to understand that the star of the Chinese company for these days will not be a phone but an Android tablet with 6.2 inch size. So it will be, they say, the Honor X 3.

Honor X 3 will be, if it is confirmed the leak, the successor of honour X 2 that Huawei announced last year. Once again they repeat themselves with cutting-edge specifications: Honor Kirin 950 processor (the same one that takes 8-Mate), screen resolution 2K, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage in the internal memory. Today it is the best that can offer this company if we skipped the camera. At the moment we don’t know anything about what sensors be used but as you can see in the rest of the specifications, it is a very powerful tablet.

At the level of software refers to that will take Android Marshmallow with the new layer EMUI. We will see if this year Huawei manages to give a qualitative leap in this section because in 2015 was one of their unfinished business: it was nice but I had to improve in performance to compete with others. The framework will be metal and the final design will be, once again, design panoramic and not four thirds.

Surprising the decision to make it as small. 6.2 inches is nearly as big as some phablets. Last year they opted for seven-inch diagonal display so now go a little further down still hits us a little. Now, keeping 16:9 format and introducing specific sound technology let us clear that they want to focus on the consumption of multimedia content. Hence the “Rhythm X Entertainment” that appears in the invitation.

Knowing where the information comes from, we give some credence to this rumor. Whatever it is, morning leave doubts since the presentation of Huawei will be in the afternoon Spanish time. Taking into account that Huawei wants to focus on the market of the United States with Honor, it seems difficult to see Huawei brand as such devices. For them, we will have to wait for the Mobile World Congress.
