First Hands-on Samsung Galaxy View (video)

It was only a matter of time before the big smartphone trend reached even the tablet market: this is the case for Samsung Galaxy View, that the editors of Engadget has got to try his hand, and which shared first impressions.

Unlike tablet reviewed by well-known information site, Galaxy View seems a device focused more on the consumption of content than to their creation: the size makes it uncomfortable to be carried and used as a common tablet, but by connecting a keyboard you can get some sort of all-in-one solution that allows you to become “productive”.

The screen from 18.5 ″ is obviously its strongest point, although the resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 “Suns” did some turn up their noses to the Editor: it is true, however, that if he had opted for something higher, to grow would be the price. The covered area is approximately two A4 sheets placed next to each other, making reading books and documents very comfortable.

The View has a single micro USB port, which can be used to connect external memories (there are 32 or 64 GB basic internal memory, expandable via microSD) and accessories, or to use the View as a second screen by using the right adapter.

Samsung has thought about this tablet as a device for streaming content to carry around, and for this he has a handle folding stand, similar to what was done by Apple with its iBooks at the end of the years ‘ 90. The video of hands-on: what do you think of this Galaxy View?
