A group of well-known faces supported the launch of a special model of the well-known brand ‘Crocs’.
The lace association and the brand Crocs launched yesterday the national campaign “Choose your rose and help this cause”, which consists of the donation of five euros by the sale of each pair of pink Crocs shoes to the Bow. All the money spent will be used to prevent breast cancer.
Presenter Ana Rita Clara and actors Lúcia Moniz, Pedro Barroso and Vítor Machado were present at the Amoreiras shopping center in Lisbon, where they supported the cause and made a point of experiencing the pink Crocs.
For Ana Rita Clara, this is the second time she lends her image to Laço: “I had already done a campaign associated with Women’s Secret. To see with the Loop and causes of solidarity that move me, I make it a point to be present.”
“I am very close to this cause, especially because I am a woman and because I feel that at my age there are many women who are uninformed and inattentive, and that scares me. Situations of young women who have gone through it. I have every urge and desire to contribute to this situation.”
Lúcia Moniz has had the opportunity to live the drama of breast cancer through her work in the novels. It was Lynne Archibald, chairwoman of the Bond, who helped the actress to compose the character:”Lynne helped me a lot and opened me to the reality of breast cancer. I came here to give back with my availability and collaboration”.
Lynne Archibald reveals great optimism about this campaign:”We believe that this partnership with Crocs will help Bond in the implementation of more breast cancer prevention actions. The money raised in the campaign will revert in favor of the project to build a Service Of excellence at the Santa Maria Hospital in Lisbon. The aim of this service is to provide breast cancer patients with an integrated and specialized service.”
Dulce da Silva, responsible for the North American footwear brand, reveals the numbers:”This summer, we want to color Portugal in pink and raise awareness for this disease, which affects 4,500 women every year.”
Available in several models and in different shades of pink, the solidarity crocs can be purchased at the various points of sale of the brand.Joana de Sousa Costa (text)
